This was the first undefeated Italian side in twenty years (AC Milan in 1991/92), and only the third in the history of the Serie A (Perugia 1978-79). Juventus has also gone unbeaten in four Coppa Italia games.
Juventus Football Club was founded on 01 November 1897 by a group of high school students. The original name was Sport Club Juventus. The name means "youth" in Latin, but the team is affectionately known as "La Vecchia Signora" (The Old Lady) and "i Bianconeri" (The White and Blacks). Juventus has won the Italian Scudetto 30 times (two were revoked).
Juventus were the first team to win the three major European club competitions (Cup Winners' Cup, European Cup and UEFA Cup) in 1985.
