Keeper Skool Goalkeeper Camp Tour by John Stevanja

by John Stevanja for World Football Commentaries

It’s been a very long time coming, though a week or so ago (and after some serious year long planning), I’ve decided to open the door to an official Keeper Skool Goalkeeper Camp Tour in the US and the UK. Below are some registration links and information around what we are planning to do, and of course scouts and goalkeeping celebrities (not naming names just yet, of course) that we are planning to be a part of this mammoth task ahead of us.

So why the US and the UK?

Simply put, Keeper Skool has more subscribers in these two regions than we have anywhere else in the world (but don’t worry, I’ll be showing my homeland Down Under some love too). I’ve been absolutely swamped with responses thus far, from very close football celebrity friends, to top flight goalkeeper coaches and youth football administrators all over the US and UK, not to mention our very own subscribers. So thank you, it’s been quite humbling.

Right now, we are on the cusp of agreeing to have 1 scout be involved in our US markets, and possibly a top flight goalkeeper coach from the UK whom is looking at coming down to all events to help out. I promise that this post will be the first of many, and as such, I’ll be adding a lot of details around the camps on a weekly basis as we finalize everything.

Following are the dates for a handful of cities in the US, plus Glasgow (Scotland, UK)…including registration links, and a handy link to Facebook (please join and become a fan today by clicking here):

Phoenix (Standard)http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolPhx
Phoenix (Elite) - http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolPhx2
San Diego (Standard) - http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolSD2
San Diego (Elite)http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolSD
Glasgow (UK – Standard)http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolGlasgow1
Glasgow (UK – Elite)http://www.regonline.com/KeeperSkoolGlasgow2

List of the Other Dates for Cities Apart from the Ones Listed Above:

July 18th – San Diego (Standard)
July 19th – San Diego (Elite)
July 20-21st – Phoenix (Elite)
July 25-26th – Phoenix (Standard)
July 28th – Dallas
July 29th – Austin
Aug 1st – San Antonio
Aug 3rd – Philadelphia / S. Jersey
Aug 4th – Mass / CT
Aug 5th – ME / NH / CA
Aug 8-9-10-11 – Scotland (Scotland, UK)

Two Tiers of Training

So you may see that I’ve listed two camps at each venue for our finalized dates. One “standard”, and one that is “elite”. Let me provide a little more info about these sessions at a high level (don’t want to give away any spoilers):
Standard: For goalkeepers 9-13 years of age. These sessions will comprise core technical drills, game based scenarios and goalkeeper wars with prizes at the end for each participant.
Elite: For goalkeepers 14-18+ years of age. These sessions will be intensive and comprise of 30-45 minute practices over several sessions throughout the day that align very closely with my 10 Weeks to Goalkeeping Success training methodology.
Across all events, (and I am working hard to make sure this comes to fruition), Keeper Skool are aiming to give away the chance for a handful of lucky goalkeepers a trip to train with a club in the US, alongside a possible chance to also have access to one of the very best goalkeeper physical development guru’s in the US. (More details to come…)
I’m working away very hard alongside the team right now to secure sponsors for the event, whom will also be giving away some great prizes.

Please Note: If you are part of any youth soccer association in the US and UK, please forward this link to your children and parents to let them know about this fantastic series of events, coming to a city near you!

Please reach out to Chris Campasano at ccampasano@phxprosoccer.com for further information about the Keeper Skool Goalkeeper Camp Tour.

Note: Changes to dates may be made depending on overall response and registrations to the dates listed in this article. We will notify any attendee well in advance if any changes are made to the above cities or dates, and or, if new venues and dates are being added.
