Week 13 Goal of the Day: Francesco Totti of AS Roma

Watch how Francesco Totti softly chips the ball over the onrushing keeper for Lecce.

This was the third and last goal of the match for the Romans (0 x 3).

Totti is known for his deft touch on the ball. At Euro 2000, he became famous for a penalty kick taken in the same manner as this goal against Lecce. Watch below as he converts against Edwin van der Sar of the Netherlands during a penalty kick shoot-out after extra time (Italy won and advanced to the Euro 2000 final against France).

A kick of this type is called "cucchiaio," or spoon, in Italian.
