2008 North American Superliga: 8 Teams Vie for US $1 Million

Tonight marks the start of the 2008 MLS Superliga competition between 8 North American and Mexican clubs.

The defending champion is Pachuca of Mexico, and the winner of this year's competition will earn US $1,000,000.
According to Steve Goff of Soccer Insider, if a MLS team wins, the players will only receive $150,000. Last year, Pachuca divided the one million equally among its playing roster.
North American television coverage will be provided by Telefutura.
