The Beat Goes On For il Grande Capitano, Paolo Maldini

Today, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, who were quoting the AC Milan web site, Paolo Maldini, the legendary Milanese captain, has decided to extend his glorious career for one more season.

Soon, he will turn 40 years of age, but this will be his 24th year wearing the red and black of AC Milan. He began his odyssey in January 2005 at Udinese. All of these years later, he is still the heart and soul of il Diavolo.

When his career ends next June, the famous number 3 will be retired. Until either of his sons, Christian or Daniel, inherit his legacy.

For the Maldinis, calcio is part of their DNA.

Cesare ---> Paolo ---> Christian and Daniel
