Oliver Kahn's and Markus Merk's Final Game

Today against Hertha Berlin, Oliver Kahn, the legendary keeper of Bayern Munich and the German National Team, ended his long tenure with the Munich club. He had over 400 appearances, and even at the age 0f 38, was still at the top of his profession.

The game also marked the end for a very good referee, Dr. Markus Merk. When he is not refereeing football games, he is a dentist.

But something else occurred that I have never seen before in world football. After the game, Kahn and Dr. Merk exchanged shirts. Please scroll to 07:25 to view this wonderful display of affection and sportsmanship.
World Football needs more men such as these. They don't merely don a shirt. They don a great example for us all.
