Nikolai Kutzenko: 10 Hours and 47,000 Kicks Later

"Nikolai Kutzenko is only an amateur soccer player. But his ability to control the ball is record breaking. The Ukrainian claims a world record for longest time juggling a ball without it hitting the ground.

The 34-year-old from Kharkov started another impressive feat with a walk in the central square town of Brovary, over 40 kilometers from the capital, Kiev.

After 10 hours and 47,000 kicks later, he arrived at his destination of Kiev.

“We are planning to start walk from Kiev to Warsaw on the 1st of May in support of Euro 2012,’’ Kutzenko said. “There hasn’t been anything like this in the world. We plan to walk from Kiev to Warsaw in three weeks. “

Kutzenko holds the world record of 24 hours, 30 minutes, accomplished in 1995."

Mr. Kutzenko gives new meaning to "keeping it up." ;-)

Years ago, there used to be a saying, "Soccer players do it for 90 minutes." In this case, they do it for 10 hours.

This was an incredible feat of discipline, stamina, and skill.

Congratulations to Mr. Kutzenko, and best wishes for his next world record attempt.
