Fiorentina 5 x Cagliari 1. Mutu and Santana had braces for La Viola, along with a goal by Montolvio. Fini had the lone goal for the Sardinians.

Internazionale 2 x AC Milan 1. Andrea Pirlo opened the scoring for Milan. Julio Cruz and Esteban Cambiasso tallied for Inter.

Juventus 2 x Siena 0. An opening goal by Hasan, and the second by David Trezeguet for the Bianconeri. Trezeguet leads the Serie A in goals with 13.

Livorno 1 x Atalanta 1. Galante scored for the Amaranto, and Tissone equalized for the Bergamaschi.

Napoli 1 x Torino 1. Rosina scored from the spot for il Toro, but Hamsik equalized for the Azzurri.

Palermo 2 x Lazio 2. Amari and Simplicio opened the scoring for the Sicilians, but Lazio fought back with goals by Firmani and Tare.

Reggina 3 x Catania 1. Luca Vigiani had a tripletta for the Calabrians, and Vargas had the lone goal for the Sicilians.

Udinese 2 x Empoli 2. Dossena and Di Natale scored for the Friuliani. Raggi and Marzoratti, the latter in injury time, gave the Tuscans a precious point as they fight relegation.

Saturday, 22 December

Genoa 1 x Parma 0. Marco Borriello scored from the spot.

AS Roma 2 x Sampdoria 0. Francesco Totti had a brace, including his trademark "spoon (cucchiao)" kick from the spot.
