2007 FIFA Club World Cup: Sepahan 3 x Waitakere United 1

Video courtesy of YouTube.

Ball Chip Technology

FIFA is testing ball chip technology for the goal lines. Ironically, in the first game of this tournament, the third goal by Sepahan of Iran might have been used as a test.
Please note the one minute mark of the video, and there were several replays as the ball rolled gently over the line.
Special Watch

Apparently, the referee will be alerted via a device on a special watch after each goal.

Goals by Sepahan were scored by Emad Mohammed with a brace, along with Abdul-Wahab Abu Al-Hail. The score for the New Zealand side was an own goal by Hadi Aghily. Sepahan will now face the Urawa Red Diamonds in the quarterfinals on the 10th.
