Jaime Moreno Scores His 109th MLS Goal for the Record

Tonight in the 47th minute at RFK Stadium, Jaime Moreno broke the MLS scoring record that was previously held by Jason Kreis (the present coach of Real Salt Lake). On a penalty kick, Jaime scored his fourth goal of the season for DC United.

Jaime was one of the original members of DC United in 1996. With the exception of one year with New York, he has played his entire American career in Washington. Even at the age of 34, he still plays for the Bolivian National Team, and had a great Copa America in Venezuela this summer.

It was somewhat ironic that he scored the goal against the New York Red Bulls, who are coached by Bruce Arena. Coach Arena was Moreno's first coach at DC United.

Congratulations, Jaime. Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole, Ole.
