Bob Bradley Debuts With A Win

It was a friendly against a Denmark side missing many of their best; however, the same could be said about the US team. Mr. Bob Bradley, the "interim" coach, won his first game, 3 to 1, over the Danes at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Bradley is working under trial, so to speak, since the USSF did not give him a permanent contract. Today's game was interesting. He gave several players their first caps, and if we analyze the level of play, it was more than could be expected. Especially after a disappointing showing in Germany, and the fact that this was the first game played since then.

For the most part, the team was comprised of MLS players. The real test will occur on 07 February in Phoenix when the team plays its most bitter rival, Mexico. When asked what was the most positive facet of today, TV commentator, and former US coach, Mr. Bruce Arena, said, "We are winning." He and Eric Wynalda expressed strong opinions that Mr. Bradley should have been named the head coach. Without the interim tag hanging around his neck.

A good start to the Bradley Era.
