Hernan Crespo: In any shirt, he will score goals

Last night, Hernan Crespo of Inter Milan scored the winner in their Champions League match with Sporting Lisboa. Crespo, who is from Argentina, is on loan to Inter from Chelsea FC. Two years ago, he was on loan to Inter's city rivals, AC Milan.

On a night when his Inter captain, and another fellow Argentine, Javier Zanetti, played in his 100th Champions League game, Crespo added to his impressive C.V. No man has scored for more teams in this competition than Hernan Crespo. The list, in order of his appearances, is staggering: Parma (ITA), Lazio (ITA), Internazionale (ITA), Chelsea (ENG), AC Milan (ITA), Chelsea (ENG), and Internazionale (ITA).

Crespo was born and raised outside of Buenos Aires in the Florida district. He began his career with River Plate, but has been hitting the back of the net in Europe since 1996. At one point, he held the world transfer fee record when Parma sold him to Lazio. He has competed for Argentina at three World Cups: 1998, 2002, and 2006. He is the all-time leading scorer for qualification games for Argentina, and has an impressive 32 goals in 59 international appearances.

A man of many shirts and clubs. But one thing remains constant. Crespo = Goals. In any language, country, or continent.
