Congratulations to the Black Satellites of Ghana. They are the first African team to win this competition. Hungary defeated Costa Rica on penalties to earn the bronze medal.
The 17th edition of the FIFA Under 20 World Cup kicked off on 24 September in Egypt, and concluded with the final on 16 October. The competition took place in five locations: Alexandria, Cairo, Ismailia, Port Said, and Suez.
There were 24 teams divided into 6 groups. The defending champion, Argentina, did not qualify.

This tournament showcases some of the best youth talent in the world. During the last two editions, which were won by Argentina, Lionel Messi (Barcelona) and Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid) won the Golden Shoe (most goals scored), respectively.
