Warren St. John, New York Times reporter and bestselling author of Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer, presents his new book, Outcasts United: A Refugee Team, An American Town.

The book tells the dramatic story of The Fugees, the youth soccer team in Clarkston comprised exclusively of refugee children. St. John first wrote about the Fugees and the local relocation activities that led to their formation in a celebrated piece for the New York Times Magazine, after which their story was optioned to be a major motion picture.
St. John will be joined for the evening by the team's coach, Luma Mufleh.

Tickets are $10 each or FREE with the purchase of the book from A Cappella. Purchases can be made in advance by calling A Cappella Books at 404-681-5128, at the store, the shopping cart below or on the evening of the event.
Admission is also free for Friends of the Carter Library.

A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales and book sales will benefit the Fugees Family.
