Ricardo Kaka' Leads The Serie A Salary Table

In today's edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport, a table of salaries was published for all of the 20 Serie A teams.

Ricardo Kaka' of AC Milan earns 6 million euros per year, followed by Francesco Totti (AS Roma) at 5.46 million, Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Patrick Vieira, Adriano, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter Milan) at 5.0 million, and Alessandro Del Piero (Juventus) at 4.8 million, respectively.

The team with the highest payroll, or wage bill, was AC Milan at 120 million euros. Inter Milan was second at 110 million, Juventus was third at 95.5 million, and AS Roma was fourth at 59.02 million, respectively. Cagliari, with an annual payroll of 11 million euros, was the most frugal in the Serie A. Their highest paid player, Danielle Conti, will earn 350,000 euros.

Scadenza = the year that the player's contract will expire.

According to Dan Leo, salaries in Italy and Spain are listed after taxes. The highest tax rate in Italy is 43%.
