Genoa and Napoli are Promoted to Serie A

Despite a 0 x 0 draw at the Marassi Stadium in Genoa, two historic Italian teams, Genoa and Napoli, have realized their long-held dream to return to the Serie A. For the Genoans, the wait has been since 1995, although in 2005, had they not fixed the last game of the season against Venezia, they would have gained promotion to A. Instead, they were demoted to Serie C.

Napoli encountered a bankruptcy in 2004, lost their official name, and were demoted to Serie C. But despite this, they still had huge crowds at the San Paolo Stadium under the ownership of Mr. Aurelio de Laurentiis. Now, thanks to Coach Edy Reja, Mr. de Laurentiis, passionate fans, and dedicated players, they have their name and honor. And will return to the Serie A for the first time in over six years.

Bentornati, Genoa e Napoli!
