Martin Palermo: A Sense of Redemption

Martin Palermo has worn the famous blue and yellow shirt of Boca Juniors for many years. He has also featured for the Argentine National Team.

Before this week, he was remembered for an infamous time at the Copa America in 1999. He missed three penalty kicks in succession, which according to Footytube.com, is a Guiness Book of Record for international soccer.

But take a look at this beautiful goal that he scored a few days ago against Independiente. It was a classic and instinctive play on his part to produce this magical individual effort.

Palermo's Great Goal.

He even received a warm embrace from Juan Roman Riquelme, a new addition to Boca, and an old nemesis.
