Adriano Awakens And Inter Ties A Record

This afternoon at the San Siro, Inter Milan tied a record that was set last year by AS Roma. Eleven straight wins in the league. Perhaps more importantly, Adriano emerged from hibernation to score his first goal of the season. With a resurgent Adriano, this team might be more formidable in their quest for European glory in the Champions League.

The Serie A will have a three week winter break, so Inter will have a lot of time to contemplate inking another page in the history book. Their next rivals will be Torino, who are a much improved side than earlier in the campionato. This game will take place on 14 January 2007 at the Stadio Grande Torino.

In their home stadium, Torino has 3 wins, 2 draws, and 4 losses. On the road, Inter has won seven and tied twice. The Milan club has not lost a game in 18 Serie A contests. The next game marks the end of the "andata" of the Serie A schedule.
